Ješetice is situated in undulating terrain on the Mastník stream. The village lies in the region known as Czech Siberia, where winters are harsher and longer than in other parts of Bohemia.

Landscape

The mountain of Smrčí lies near Ješetice. The hill of Hejlový [Miličín] is located in the immediate vicinity. In the wider region around Ješetice are Javorová Skála and Žebrák; both are mountains.

History and Culture

Ješetice may have been established in the 12th century. A cross below the railway line dates from 1894.

At the Skanzen Vysoký Chlumec open-air museum, guided tour A, lasting 60 minutes, also includes a residential building from Řikov.

Getting Around
