Sobesovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The VN Žermanice–Soběšovice bathing area is located below the “Pod Husarůvkou” campsite and other adjoining recreational facilities. It has a grassy beach and a gently sloping entry into the water.

Nature

Soběšovice lies on the right bank of the Žermanice Reservoir.

The Soběšovická observation tower has a viewing platform at a height of 17.5 metres, accessible via 45 steps. From this observation tower, there are views of the Beskids panorama and the dam of the Žermanice Reservoir.

By the Water

Water sports available at the Žermanice Reservoir include windsurfing and yachting. Seasonal fishing takes place at the Žermanice Reservoir; the fishing season begins there every spring.

Pedal boats and small boats can be rented at the VN Žermanice–Soběšovice bathing area. Walks and trips around the reservoir are possible at the Žermanice Reservoir.

Trails

The blue-marked hiking trail 2239 between Frýdek–Místek and Český Těšín passes through Soběšovice.

The established cycle route 6005 also passes through Soběšovice; it follows the Frýdek–Místek – Žermanice – Frýdek–Místek loop.

History

The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Soběšovice, in the Pitrov cadastral area, is a monument of local significance and a local landmark.

The site of the former church of Soběšovice is flooded by the waters of the Žermanice Reservoir.
