Třtice: Hotels and accommodations

Třtice was already settled in the Stone Age, with the first written references dating from the 14th century. Its history and landscape can be traced at specific sites – from the Church of Saint Nicholas to Bucek Pond and the V Bahnách Nature Reserve.

History and architecture

In the centre of Třtice, the Church of Saint Nicholas stands on a slight rise. A separate parish priest is documented there as early as the 13th century. The originally Gothic church was rebuilt in Baroque form after a fire in the second quarter of the 18th century.

The single-nave building has a nave measuring 11 metres in length and 8 metres in width, covered by a barrel vault.

Nature and bodies of water

Bucek Pond lies in the cadastral area of Třtice and covers 24.5 hectares. Two protected pedunculate oaks, more than 400 years old, reinforce the pond embankment with their roots.

The V Bahnách Nature Reserve is home to protected plant and animal species, including round-leaved sundew and common butterwort. It protects aquatic, wetland and meadow plant communities, as well as animal communities on peat and moorland soils with rare, specially protected species.

Cycling

The 21-kilometre-long cycle route No. 8192 “Novostrašecko” runs through the cadastral areas of Řevničov, Třtice, Mšec, Mšecké Žehrovice and Nové Strašecí. It follows the embankments and shores of the Třtický, Bucký, Malá Punčocha, Velká Punčocha, Mlýnský, Pilský, Červený and Lodenický ponds.

Events and accommodation

Chatkový kemp Bucek offers 10 cabins with a capacity of 3 people each, as well as pitches for your own tents, caravans and motorhomes.

The Bucek Triathlon takes place every year on a Saturday around the transition from July to August and is open to everyone. The winter run “Vánoční běh” is held regularly on 26 December. The SPOLU Festival took place in Třtice on 31 August 2024 as a festival for children and adults, and on 30 August 2025 as a children’s festival.
