Krusovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Beer has been brewed at the Krušovice Brewery since 1581. The brewery museum displays equipment used in hop cultivation and malt production, as well as coopering and blacksmithing tools used to make barrels.

Culture and History

Krušovice Chateau is a large, two-winged Baroque building dating from around 1711. A Baroque chapel is located in the eastern wing, and brewery buildings adjoin the chateau.

Hiking

With the exception of two short sections, the Louštín hike follows marked hiking trails. It leads to the 537-metre-high summit and has a total elevation gain of 150 metres. Along the way, the hike passes the ruins of the wall of the former Křivoklát game park, which dates from the 18th century. In the vicinity of Krušovice, the remains of a prehistoric hillfort, probably dating from the La Tène period, can also be found on Louštín.

The hike to Rabas Mill follows field and forest paths, some of which are paved, and runs mostly outside marked hiking trails apart from a short initial section. Rabas Mill, in the vicinity of Krušovice, is not open for interior viewing and can only be seen from the outside. It is the birthplace of the painter Václav Rabas; its history dates back to the 16th century.

Nature and Historical Traces

The mighty beeches on Louštín are a modest example of the area's original forests. Three pedunculate oaks near Krušovice have been designated natural monuments. In the vicinity of Krušovice, the Baroque Jordánek Chapel rises above a pond basin fed by a spring.

Cycling Routes

Cycle route 8192A passes through Krušovice. The Poddžbánsko Beer Cycling Route comprises routes 0115 and 0116; route 0115 runs from Lužná railway station to Krušovice.
