Culture and History

The oldest parts of the present-day building of Zámek sv. Víta date from the period after 1665. The eastern façade of the Church of St. Vitus was completed in 1732–1736 and features sandstone statues that are presumably from the workshop of Matyáš Bernard Braun. Kostel sv. Víta is the parish church of Tuchoměřice. The Tuchoměřice granary is also located in the village; it dates from 1711 and has been preserved almost in its original form.

The surroundings of Tuchoměřice are home to the Museum Stará kanalizační čistírna Praha-Bubeneč, Letohrádek královny Anny, the Galerie Rudolfinum Museum, and Palác Kinských.

Nature

The Kněžívka nature monument landscape has been under state protection since 1978. The Únětický potok flows through Tuchoměřice. A red-marked hiking trail leads from Tuchoměřice, and cycle route CT 0078 also passes through the village.

Tuchoměřice are a suitable starting point for half-day or full-day cycling trips in the surrounding area. There are several cycle routes around Tuchoměřice that run along field paths or lightly trafficked roads. On the most prominent peak, locally known as Kobyla, smoothed surfaces can be observed as traces of the surf of the Cretaceous Sea in Bohemia.
