Běrunice: Hotels and Accommodation

Běrunice has a clear focal point: the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary stands in a commanding position in the centre of the village square. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The Gothic church was demolished in 1716 and replaced by a single-nave Baroque building with an attached tower on the west façade, constructed between 1716 and 1718.

Culture

In front of the municipal office in Běrunice stands the wooden statue Berůn. The church grounds include a cemetery and a perimeter wall with gates. They also include a mortuary, a former fire station and a stone cross.

East of the church, behind the perimeter wall, stands a simple wooden bell tower probably dating from the early 20th century. Northwest of the church stands a two-storey rectory with a hipped roof, probably dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.
