Dolní Přím: Hotels and Accommodation

Dolní Přím Chateau was created by extensively converting a Renaissance fortress into a Baroque chateau between 1681 and 1714. The Italian architect Carlo Antonio Lurago was also involved in this conversion.

History and Culture

During the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, a military hospital was housed in Dolní Přím Chateau; the building was also damaged again. Following extensive reconstruction, the chateau chapel is used for concerts and other social events.

The historic features of the area also include the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, which is registered as an immovable cultural monument. The municipality also contains two monuments with different forms and inscriptions: Monument IR 74 is a sandstone obelisk on a pedestal with a large relief of the Austrian eagle, as well as Czech and German inscriptions on cast-iron plaques. Monument U sv. Aloise consists of a sandstone cross on a pedestal with black granite plaques in Czech and German.

Nature and Landscape

On the western edge of Dolní Přím, in a wooded area, lies the Dolní Přím Forest Experience Trail, known as Bažantnice. The forest experience trail has 12 educational stations and 2 play stations.

The municipality of Dolní Přím and its administratively affiliated parts lie within the “Battlefield of the Battle of Hradec Králové” landscape monument zone. In the surrounding area are the terrain features recorded as hills: Dubina [Střezetice], Babylon [Třesovice], U Žižkova stolu [Všestary-Rosnice], and (Na příbytkách) [Všestary-Lípa].

Location and Connections

Dolní Přím lies approximately 10 kilometres west of Hradec Králové in the direction of Nový Bydžov and has very good bus connections. The Church of Svatý Jiří is located in the wider regional surroundings of Dolní Přím.
