Dolní Lochov lies on the southern edge of Český ráj, in the valley by the Porák stream.

Nature and Trails

The Svatá Anna natural monument is partly located within the cadastral area of Dolní Lochov. It consists of a basalt hill covered by a mixed hornbeam-oak forest. From Dolní Lochov, an approximately 1 km-long route leads to the Svatá Anna natural monument; it branches off from the red-marked hiking trail.

Other Landscapes

Přivýšina, a mountain, and Střelečská hůra, a mountain, are located in the vicinity of Dolní Lochov. Tábor, a mountain, lies in the surrounding area. Malá Svinčice [Holín - Horní Lochov], a hill, is also located nearby.

Chapel and Pilgrimage

The Chapel of St. Anne stands on the hill above Dolní Lochov; it was built by František Josef Schlik. A procession takes place there every year, with a mass celebrated with musical accompaniment; the pilgrimage tradition was revived from 2005 onward.

Culture and History

The Boží Muka wayside cross was erected in 1860 at the expense of the municipality and restored in 2014. Valdštejn, a church, is located in the surrounding area of Dolní Lochov.
