Culture
Utzův betlém was reassembled, made operational and opened to the public at the town hall in Olešnice v Orlických horách on 30 April 2000. Its drive system includes a metal transmission shaft ending in a wooden pulley.
The grounds of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene include the listed Svatého PÅ™Ãbuzenstva sculpture ensemble. The museum in OleÅ¡nice v Orlických horách presents an exhibition of historical objects and furniture from the local region. The exhibition opened to visitors in 2004, after the displayed objects had been restored and the exhibition had moved to new premises.
Nature
The Olešenka stream and its tributaries flow through green valleys between forests, pastures and meadows around Olešnice v Orlických horách. A marked green hiking trail from the square in Olešnice v Orlických horách provides the shortest and easiest access to the observation tower on Feistův kopec and is also suitable for prams. The observation tower stands 1 kilometre from the town centre and offers views of the Orlické hory, the Krkonoše Mountains, Broumovsko and the Polish Stolové hory.
The Feistův kopec geological educational trail has nine stations and passes through a landscape formation of particular geomorphological significance. A blue-marked hiking trail leads to Sedloňovský vrch.
The red-marked long-distance Jiráskova cesta trail passes through OleÅ¡nice v Orlických horách and is 100 kilometres long in total. Near Zelené údolÃ, close to OleÅ¡nice v Orlických horách, it reaches the Orlické hory Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Orlické hory) and from there climbs to the observation tower on VrchmezÃ.
Winter
The Hartman Olešnice Ski Resort offers a ski and snowboard school for children and beginners. The resort is suitable for children, beginners and intermediate skiers. It has three ski slopes prepared daily, with artificial snowmaking and a combined length of more than 2,000 metres. Night skiing is available on a floodlit slope measuring 1,100 metres in length.
