Byzhradec: Hotels and Accommodation

An artificial reservoir is located in the centre of the built-up area of Byzhradec. The Chobot stream shapes the landscape and is also designated for protection as a landscape feature of value.

Byzhradec preserves a historically planned settlement structure of the so-called lánová ves type. In the northern part stands a podstávkový dům, designated as an object of local cultural and historical value. Northeast of Byzhradec, a stone cross stands on road III/29844 (plot p.p.č. 3278).

Byzhradec is also home to the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius, built in 1869. The former school building in Byzhradec was recently renovated and now serves as the municipal office and library. The current name Byzhradec has been used since 1922. Shingles were formerly produced in Byzhradec.

The area around Byzhradec is considered particularly suitable for cycling. Marked cycle route 4349 runs through Opočno, Semechnice, Byzhradec, Černíkovice and Rychnov nad Kněžnou. The Podorlická pivní cyklostezka leads from Solnice towards Byzhradec and then along a local paved road to Hroška.

A designated rest area is located at the Boží Muka wayside shrine. Myslivecká chata is designated as a rest area in Byzhradec.
