Libel is located in the foothills of the Orlické hory mountains. The nearly 6 km-long Ovocná stezka trail leads from Rychnovská Lhotka via Synkov-Slemeno to Libel.
Nature and trails
Along the Ovocná stezka trail, there are nine information boards about work in the orchards during the four seasons. The Ovocná stezka can be explored on foot or by bicycle through the orchards; there are also rest areas and viewing pavilions.
The RybnÃk Dubenec pond is located in the area of Libel. Fishing competitions are held there regularly. During the fishing competition dates listed for 2026, RybnÃk Dubenec was closed to the public.
Culture and local life
Libel is home to three smaller religious monuments of local significance. At the southern edge of the village stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk on the former road to Častolovice. It was created in 1813 at the expense of Vojtěch Mikys.
Local social events in Libel include a football tournament. Easter egg painting was also regularly held in Libel on the Saturday before Easter.
