Dallwitz: Hotels and Accommodation

The Dalovice Botanical Garden contains a collection of the regional flora of the Karlovy Vary Region with around 170 plant species, as well as a collection of 40 species of open-field agricultural crops. The garden is freely accessible to the public.

The chateau park of Dalovice, the New Chateau and the bust of K. T. Körner have formed a registered immovable cultural monument since 1958, under registration number 38621/7-779. There, a viewing pavilion offers views of the Ohře Valley and Drahovice, a district of Karlovy Vary.

The protected Körner Oak also stands in the chateau park. It is freely accessible; its age is estimated at 700 to 900 years. A yellow-marked hiking trail leads to it from the main post office. The hike is approximately 3.1 kilometres long and takes around 47 minutes.

The Tvrziště in Dalovice comprises the remains of a Gothic fortress and the in situ-presented foundations of a square residential tower. Excavations at the site uncovered Neolithic pottery, dating to around 5,000 BC, as well as other small finds from various periods up to modern times.

The Dalovice porcelain factory increasingly expanded its originally stoneware-oriented production to include porcelain manufacturing from around 1830 onwards. The pseudo-Romanesque Church of “Panny Marie Utěšitelky” was built in 1929; its vestibule is the former parish chapel.

The Starý zámek in Dalovice began as a Renaissance fortress from the early 16th century and was converted into a pseudo-Baroque chateau after a fire in 1899.
