Kytlice: Hotels and Accommodation
Kytlice lies at an elevation of 462 m on both banks of the Kamenice River, amid the forests of the Lusatian Mountains.
Kytlice has two children's playgrounds: U Zlatokopa and another near the fire station. The Kytlice Information Centre provides information about the Kytlicko area and its surroundings, cultural and social events in the municipality, accommodation in guesthouses, excursion tips and train connections.
Nature
In Kytlice, swimming is possible in a natural pond with a sandy beach. The Kytlice Nature Monument protects the occurrence of the spring crocus (Crocus vernum agg.) in regularly mown natural wet meadows.
Culture and Village Character
The Forest Theatre in Mlýny is historically one of the most important open-air theatres in Bohemia. Its current repertoire consists mainly of classical comedies, fairy tales for children and various music programmes. The Church of St Anthony of Padua in Kytlice was designed by the Děčín architect Jan Václav Kosch. The foundation stone of the Baroque single-nave Church of St Anthony of Padua in Kytlice was laid on 7 September 1777; it was consecrated on 10 October 1782. The statue of St Anthony of Padua in the meadow below the church in Kytlice dates from the second half of the 18th century. Kytlice has numerous log houses with upper-floor timber framing, half-timbered or log-built upper floors, and mansard roofs.
Hiking
The Okolím Studence educational trail runs through Mlýny, a district of the municipality of Kytlice. It has 20 bilingual stations in Czech and German, starts at the railway station in Mlýny and is 22.5 km long, including a detour to Studenec.
Cycling
In Kytlice, cycling tours are possible on forest tracks and cycle paths. A 22 km route through the Lusatian Mountains runs via Česká Kamenice, Kamenický Šenov, Prácheň with Panská skála, Polevsko, Kytlice, Mlýny and Pustý zámek back to Česká Kamenice.
