The original chapel of the Kostel sv. Michaela v Nové Roli church was built between 1240 and 1255. A remnant of the original masonry has been preserved in the rear part of the presbytery. The church is a valuable ecclesiastical monument of the Karlovy Vary Region and was classified in the second category of historic monuments in the Romanesque-Gothic style.
