Culture and History
The viaduct near Jenišov is the largest structure in the cadastral area of the municipality of Jenišov. Its stone arch crosses the Chodovský potok immediately next to the millrace of a former mill. Since the construction of the Buštěhrad Railway in 1870, the viaduct has remained in service to this day without any major repairs.
The Neoclassical Chapel of St. Anne stands on the village square in the centre of Jenišov; its exterior areas are accessible. It was built in 1849 according to a design by the bricklayer Franz Gelinka, on the site of an earlier wooden bell tower, and was completely reconstructed between 1991 and 1993.
Landscape
The reclaimed Velká loketská spoil heap is an external dump from the Družba lignite open-cast mine and stretches between Nové Sedlo, Mírová, Jenišov and Hory. Fourteen kilometres of cycling paths are marked on it, and seven rest areas have been established.
