Gablonz an der Neiße (Jablonec nad Nisou) combines a history of glass and costume jewelry with town hall architecture and landscapes around Petřín.
Culture
The State Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou brings glass and costume jewelry together in one museum. The exhibition “Čarovná zahrada – české sklo sedmi století” presents glass there from antiquity to the present day in four chronologically successive sections. “Nekonečný příběh bižuterie” traces the development of Jablonec costume jewelry from its beginnings to the present day.
Jablonec nad Nisou’s New Town Hall was built between 1931 and 1933 and has been a national cultural monument since 2024. In summer, visitors can climb the town hall tower on a guided tour.
