Nature and landscape

Mariánská hora is a mountain in the vicinity of Josefův Důl. The mountains Černá hora, Královka, and Jizera are also located around Josefův Důl.

Čertovy kameny is a viewpoint in the Peklo district of Josefův Důl overlooking the reservoir and the Kamenice Valley. The three-tiered waterfalls on the Jedlová descend more than 12 meters.

Culture and history

At Glass Pesničák in Josefův Důl, visitors can watch traditional glass grinding, including the production of cut-glass perfume bottles of the kind made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, using original methods. The Local History Museum was established in 2010 and is housed in a former school building in Josefův Důl.

The J. K. Tyla theater group stages its own productions and guest performances several times a year and organizes the “Josefodolské divadelní jaro” festival for rural theater groups every year. Organ concerts, Christmas concerts, and classical music concerts are held at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Josefův Důl.
