Svor: Hotels and Accommodation

Mount Klíč lies within the cadastral area of the municipality of Svor; the summit is most easily reached from there. On the mountain’s northern and eastern slopes, a serpentine trail built in the summer of 1893 leads to the summit and is still used today.

Nature

Mount Klíč offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Velký Svorský rybník is located within the cadastral area of the municipality of Svor, west of the municipality; swimming is possible there in summer.

A lookout point on Sokolík offers views of the Ralská pahorkatina and the surrounding area. The Sokolík locality is a local biocentre within the Natura conservation system CZ0510508 – Klíč.

The mountains of Klíč, Malý Buk, Zelený vrch and Bouřný are located in the vicinity of Svor.

Trails and Activities

The Za Lilií zlatohlavou educational trail introduces visitors to the protected Lužické hory area as well as Svor’s historical, cultural and natural attractions. It is part of the Czech Tourist Club’s system of educational trails and leads to Sokolík, where an important population of Turk’s cap lilies can be found.

The St. Zdislava cycling trail passes through Svor. Svor has an access point to the cross-country ski trails of the Lužickohorská magistrála. There is also a quest exploring vanished places and buildings.

Culture

Svor has traditional log houses, often with elongated dormer windows. Among Svor’s attractions is a Marian column dating from 1714. The railway viaduct and embankment in Svor are considered an important technical monument.

Rousínov is part of the municipality of Svor and is a recreational settlement with numerous log cabins and Upper Lusatian-style half-timbered houses.
