Tuhan: Hotels and accommodations
The first recorded mention of the church in Tuhaň dates back to 1362. In 1711, the old church was replaced by the Baroque Church of St. Gallus under the patronage of Franz Ernst von Waldstein.
Culture
Near the church is a sculptural group of Mount of Olives featuring a statue of the Redeemer, a statue of an angel, and three sleeping apostles. Most of the furnishings of the Church of St. Gallus date from 1711.
A new bell tower next to the church replaced the older bell tower in the center of Tuhaň in 1833; at the same time, the cemetery was moved outside the village. A statue of Saint Florian was erected in Tuhaň’s village square in 1736.
The entire area of Tuhaň and the neighboring municipalities was designated as an area of folk architecture. There, log houses of the original Slavic population are combined with half-timbered buildings of the later German population.
