Nature and water

Doubský rybník is a 2.1-hectare body of water in the cadastral district of Doubí u Liberce. Fly fishing, float fishing, bottom fishing and spinning are permitted at Doubský rybník.

In the vicinity of Doubí, the Vesecké údolí educational trail passes through important wetland habitats and introduces rare or endangered plant and animal species. The trail is approximately 2 km long and has seven information boards.

Landscape

The mountains Ještěd, Rozsocha, Ostrý and Brdo are located in the vicinity of Doubí.

History and culture

Mlýnský rybník was formerly called Teichmühle because a mill once stood at this site on the Luční potok; it has been documented since the 18th century.

The wider region around Doubí is home to Valdštejn Church and the Church of the Chapel of the Holy Trinity.

Transport and routes

The “Liberec,Doubí,mlýn” stop is located in IDOL fare zone 0001 – Liberec and is served by IDOL lines 20, 94 and 98.

A route from the centre of Liberec to Vesecký rybník initially uses tram lines 5 or 11; bus lines 13, 24 or 26 are used for the return journey.

Leisure

The playground on Vackova Street in Doubí has a climbable aeroplane play structure, an in-ground trampoline, a carousel and spring riders.
