Bítouchov: Hotels and Accommodation

The red-marked Riegrova Trail connects Semily, the Bítouchov district and Spálov and is 5.5 km long in total. Beyond Bítouchov, the forest section begins with 77-metre-long metal galleries built into the rock above the Jizera. Along the Riegrova Trail, there are several rocky viewpoints offering views of the Jizera Valley and the surrounding natural landscape; the Riegrova Trail also passes through the Galerie Natural Monument, the Údolí Jizery Nature Reserve and Bítouchov. In Semily, the Bítouchov footbridge crosses the Jizera; it is located on the Greenway Jizera route from the town centre to the Riegrova Trail.

Hiking Trails and Viewpoints

The 3 km-long, yellow-marked Kamenického Trail offers six rocky viewpoints. From the signpost at Morava, the yellow Kamenického Trail leads past Medenec to Bítouchov; from there, the red-marked route continues to Semily. The 10 km hiking route between Semily and Morava also passes through Bítouchov and is considered barrier-free. At 497 m above sea level, the Masarykova Viewpoint is the highest point in Bítouchov and is a destination for walks and excursions offering views of Kozákov.

Nature

The mountains of Strážník, Pustina, Černá Studnice and Tábor are located around Bítouchov.

Culture and Monuments

The Bítouchovská zvonička bell tower stands in Bítouchov on a slope above the road. It dates from 1812, has a shingle-covered roof and was reconstructed in 1996.

The churches of Valdštejn and Lázně are located in the wider regional surroundings of Bítouchov. A war memorial from 1924 is among the significant monuments in the excursion area.
