Jablonec Nad Jizerou: Hotels and Accommodation

The Pilišťata sports complex in Jablonec nad Jizerou has a municipal swimming pool that has been in operation since 1937 and was converted into a bathing facility in the early 1970s.

Nature and Trails

An 11 km hiking route starts and ends in the square in Jablonec nad Jizerou. It leads past St. Prokop Church, the cultural centre, the Jizera, Přední Blansko, the fire station, a viewpoint and the valley of the Sklenařický potok before returning to the square. Regular church services can be attended in this church.

Another 11 km hiking and cycling tour leads through Jablonec nad Jizerou and Končiny, over Stráž mountain and through Zimní strana, before returning to Jablonec nad Jizerou.

The Jizera is navigable by raft mainly in spring, particularly in March and April during the snowmelt. In winter, Skiareál Kamenec offers a connecting cross-country ski trail to Vysoké nad Jizerou.

The mountains Čertova hora, Zadní Plech and Šeřín are located around Jablonec nad Jizerou. Wodospad Kamieńczyka is a waterfall there.

Culture and History

The Četnická stanice Museum showcases a historic gendarmerie station. It can be visited during opening hours or by arranging an individual appointment.

On 19 September 2026, the 47th edition of the “KAM NEDOŠEL VELBLOUD” memorial march will take place in Jablonec nad Jizerou in memory of Vilém Gernert. Hiking routes of 7, 11, 27, 36 and 41 km and cycling routes of 34 and 68 km will be offered.

The wider regional surroundings of Jablonec nad Jizerou include Zamek Chojnik, a castle, Spalona Strażnica, a ruin, and the churches of Lázně and Valdštejn.
