Končiny: Hotels and accommodations

An 11 km hiking and cycling tour leads via Jablonec nad Jizerou, Končiny, Mount Stráž and Zimní strana back to Jablonec nad Jizerou. The marked ascent to Končiny leads from Jablonec nad Jizerou along the red hiking trail for approximately 2 km uphill.

Hiking and views

Stráž is a rocky spur at an altitude of 778 metres above sea level. In favourable weather conditions, Stráž offers views of the Jizera Mountains, Paseky, Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Lysá hora (1,344 m), Kotel (1,455 m) and Zlaté návrší (1,411 m). The path to the viewpoint on Stráž and back is just under 2 km long.

Landscape

The Hlídka na Stráži viewpoint area comprises simple structures made of wood and steel. Hlídka na Stráži consists of four viewpoints symbolising the four cartridges from the coat of arms of Rokytnice. The viewpoints on Stráž are part of a forest park with shaded seating.

Culture and history

The mountain hotel Stráž is located on the route approximately 1 km after the trail junction. The Stráž mountain hotel was built in 1933 by Vinohradský Sokol. The archaeological site “Horní Rokytnice, Dolní Rokytnice and Končiny” belongs to category ÚAN I. There is a crucifix in Končiny.
