Sekerkovy Loučky: Hotels and Accommodation

From the 14th century onwards, Sekerkovy Loučky, together with Lestkov and Volavec, formed an independent lordship (vladyctví) that had emerged from the Rotštejn estate.

History

The name Sekerkovy Loučky refers to small meadows and to Albert Sekerka, who is mentioned as the owner of a farmstead in 1391. In the same year, Sekerkovy Loučky were mentioned as “Loučky Sekyrkovy”. The cemetery chapel of Sekerkovy Loučky was built in the Modernist style from 1938 to 1939.

Landscape

The mountains of Střelečská hůra, Tábor, Maršovicky vrch and Přivýšina lie in the vicinity of Sekerkovy Loučky. The Valdštejn Church is also located nearby.

Local connections

In Dubecko, a telecommunications relay was converted into a lookout tower at the request of the residents; Dubecko belongs to the Sekerkovy Loučky settlement group. The lookout tower has a viewing platform at a height of 33 metres on a 50-metre-high mast and was usually locked.
