In Závada, an educational trail created in 2020 with interactive elements leads to Hrádek Závada. The construction of the site is cautiously dated to the last quarter of the 13th century. Its remains consist of an oval core with two concentric ditches and ramparts and are located in Panský les.
Trails and landscape
A yellow-marked hiking trail runs along the southwestern boundary of Závada from the Vřesina area toward the municipal boundary with Bohuslavice. A protected pedunculate oak stands at the edge of Sedliska Forest on the border with Píšť. Cycle Route 6091 (Bolatice–Hať) also runs near Závada’s sports complex.
Culture
The Chapel of Saint Urban, built in 1898, serves as a church for the residents of Závada.
Location and transport
Závada is located in the Hlučín Uplands. Regional connections are provided by ODIS bus route 282, which runs from Píšť via Závada, Bohuslavice, and Hlučín to Ostrava-Přívoz.
