Větřkovice: Hotels and Accommodation
Větřkovice can be viewed from several perspectives: through its local history, landscape, cycling routes, and events.
History and Monuments
Větřkovice has a preserved founding charter from 1298. This founding charter refers to the settlement as Dyttreichsdorph or Dětřichovice. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Větřkovice is listed as an immovable cultural monument. Also listed as immovable cultural monuments are a chapel with a vaulted ceiling at the crossroads between Větřkovice and the Nové Vrbno district, and a Marian column in front of the church in Větřkovice.
Landscape
Větřkovice lies in the hilly Vítkovská vrchovina, which is part of the Nízký Jeseník. The northern tip of the cadastral area of Větřkovice extends into the valley of the Moravice River.
Cycling
The challenging 60 km Nízký Jeseník I circular cycling route passes through Hradec nad Moravicí, Podhradí, Vítkov, Větřkovice, and Moravské Vlkovice. The Hradecký zámek cycling route combines off-road cycling with road cycling.
Events
The Větřkovská traktoriáda is a traditional competition featuring homemade tractors. Visitors can enjoy an accompanying programme, as well as the traditionally extensive refreshments and culinary specialities. The Slavnosti Větřkovského karmaše will take place from 11 to 13 September 2026. In addition, the municipality of Větřkovice invited people to the first edition of the “Sliváci vaří zelňačku” event.
