Zlatníky: Hotels and accommodations

History

The first written mention of Zlatníky dates from 1256; at that time, Velehrad Monastery purchased Zlatníky from Smil z Bílkova. From the end of the 16th century until 1718, Zlatníky was an independent estate owned by the Mošů z Bittendorfu family. In 1717, Jan Leopold Moš had a brewery built in Zlatníky.

Culture

The Chapel of St. John the Baptist still stands today in the middle of Zlatníky village square. It was built and consecrated in 1877; after its reconstruction, the Chapel of Saint John the Baptist was blessed.

In August 2025, the seventh edition of the Guláš Fest was held in Zlatníky. On September 26, 2015, fish festivals were held at the TJ–Sokol Zlatníky sports complex and were very well received by locals and guests.

Cycle route No. 6167 runs from the Městské sady bus stop in Opava via Zlatníky, Stěbořice, and Nový Dvůr to Hlavnice.
