Nature and Landscape

Skřipov lies in a predominantly agricultural landscape surrounded by mixed forests. Several ponds are located in the cadastral area of Skřipov. The Bílovka stream and the Skřipovský stream flow through the village.

The U Leskoveckého chodníka Nature Reserve is located in the cadastral area of Skřipov and covers 31.8826 ha. It contains near-natural stands of acidophilous beech as well as partially preserved ash-alder communities in narrow stream valleys. Natural autochthonous stands of spruce, larch, and fir are also protected. The area around Skřipov is suitable for walks, recreation, and collecting mushrooms and other forest fruits.

History

The new church in Skřipov was completed in 1844 after three years of construction and solemnly consecrated on September 1, 1844.
