Moravice includes part of Moravice Nature Park as well as a historic town center with several cultural monuments.

Culture

The parish church of St. Philip and St. James is registered as an immovable cultural monument. The single-nave building was constructed in 1735 in the Baroque style and was restored in 1958 after a fire in 1954. Vila Eliška No. 58 is also registered as an immovable cultural monument. The former Fojtství No. 113 is a one-story Empire-style building from the first half of the 19th century.

The historic center of Moravice contains four small chapels, which are considered significant sacred elements that shape the landscape. The townscape also includes a monument to those who fell in the First World War, a valuable sculptural work by the Silesian sculptor Josef Obeth.

Nature

Moravice Nature Park occupies part of the administrative area of Moravice. It is characterized by hilly terrain as well as deciduous and coniferous forests. The nature park includes sunny meadows, wild berries, and clean air. In the wider regional surroundings of Moravice, the nature park has 15 recorded sites of protected and endangered species.

The Moravice Valley between Kružberk and Hradec nad Moravicí is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Moravice. In places, it features gorges with walls up to 120 meters high.

Activities

The Moravice Fit Trail includes elements for outdoor fitness and play. These include information boards, benches, waste bins, and a bicycle rack. The marked cycling route 551 MORAVICE also runs in the vicinity of Moravice.

In the vicinity of Moravice, a quiet river section approximately 1 km long below Kružberk Dam is described as suitable for families and beginners in paddle sports. It begins approximately 300 m below the dam wall. Canoe trips are also described on the Moravice; the river flows through a valley several dozen kilometers long.

Connections

Moravice is connected by road to Melč, Lhotka u Litultovic, Nové Lublice, Vítkov, and Opava. Moravice has no railway connection.
