The entire cadastral area of Březsko lies in varied, hilly terrain. In the southern part, the hilly relief is divided by the valley of the Březský potok on the border with Konice near Sedliska.

Landscape and Nature

Part of the municipality of Březsko lies in the Kladecko Nature Park, which was established in 1990 to protect the character of the landscape and significant aesthetic and biological values. A nature trail runs along the edge of the Kladecko Nature Park behind Březsko. In the wider regional surroundings of Březsko, the Kladecko nature trail is 7.2 kilometres long, rated as moderately difficult, and suitable for hiking and mountain biking.

Paths and Routes

A red-marked hiking trail leads from Konice via Březsko, Vojtěchov and Javoříko to Litovel. The Napoleonská route is suitable for cross-country skiing and hiking. Near Březsko, the marked Napoleonská route must be left and the village bypassed before the route continues along the Napoleonská route.

History and Culture

The history of Březsko dates back to the mid-14th century. Iron ore was mined in the vicinity of Březsko in the 18th and 19th centuries and subsequently processed in nearby Blansko.

Březsko is home to a chapel dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, dating from 1875. Beside the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius stands a marble cross from 1876. Březsko also has a monument to those who fell in the First World War, featuring a statue of Saint Wenceslas from 1929. In the vicinity of Březsko there is a group of six marble crosses that was restored in 1900.

Traditions

Březsko regularly hosts a church fair celebrating the feast of Saint Martin, with music and a raffle.
