Culture and History

The Memoriál Jana Jaroše has generally been held every May since 2013 on the tennis courts in Bohuňovice. The tennis complex has three tennis courts.

The Matičky tradition takes place in Bohuňovice on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. As part of this tradition, girls take a cross from the church and carry it in a procession accompanied by music to their village. The following day, the Matičky procession returns the decorated cross to the church and concludes with an Easter Mass, refreshments, and music.

The parish Church of St. John the Baptist in Bohuňovice is registered as an immovable cultural monument under registration number 28784/8-2626. The church is a Baroque sacred structure from the second quarter of the 18th century with an older core. The church's three former bells, which had been requisitioned for war purposes, were replaced with new ones in 1922. The church was extended by 12 m. The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on Pod Lipami Street in Bohuňovice dates from 1883.

Nature

The protected solitary tree Hromův dub is recorded in the cadastral area of Moravská Loděnice in the municipality of Bohuňovice. Hromův dub is documented as having a height of 27 m and a trunk circumference of 600 cm (as of June 15, 2004).

Leisure

Centrum zdraví Bohuňovice has a swimming pool with water attractions and a counter-current system. The Bohuňovice–Olomouc cycle path begins at the railway crossing in Bohuňovice.
