Stepanov: Hotels and Accommodation

A workers’ housing estate with 20 houses in Štěpánov documents the living conditions of the working class in the mid-19th century.

Culture

The Workers’ Association House No. 267 is part of Štěpánov’s listed cultural heritage. There is also a stone group of figures depicting the Holy Trinity dating from 1812. In Nádražní Street, there is a niche chapel with two reconciliation crosses dating from the 16th to the 17th century.

Landscape

Štěpánov is an approximately 5 km-long linear settlement in the flat landscape of Haná. The southern, southeastern and western parts of the municipal area lie within the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area.

Railway Station and Cycle Path

Štěpánov railway station is located on railway line 270; the station building is accessible to people with disabilities. The main section of the cycle path connecting Olomouc with Štěpánov is 3.7 km long.

Events

Štěpánov’s cinema hosts film and theatre performances, lectures and travel events. During the school holidays, the summer cinema shows films on the grounds of the Breeders’ Association. Štěpánov’s folklore includes the traditional Hody festival dedicated to Saint Lawrence.

The deconsecrated Church of St Barbara in Štěpánov is used for weddings and declarations of entry into a registered partnership; the venue designated for the ceremony can be visited by prior arrangement.
