Jívová: Hotels and Accommodation

Jívová is home to the Baroque Church of St. Bartholomew, which was built between 1717 and 1720. Its complex is listed as an immovable cultural monument in the central register of monuments of the Czech Republic. The interior contains several paintings, particularly frescoes by the Olomouc Baroque painter Jan Kryštof Handke. The complex also includes a low rubble-stone wall around the former cemetery with two masonry entrance gates, as well as a mortuary with a hipped roof.

Culture

The Tepenec archaeological site comprises a Late Bronze Age hillfort with preserved remains of ramparts and a ditch, as well as the remains of a medieval castle founded by Charles IV around 1340.

Nature

The protected area of Údolí Bystřice encompasses the cadastral area of Jívová and covers an area of 751 hectares. Údolí Bystřice contains preserved beech and rubble forests, as well as rock formations, frost cliffs and block streams.

Mount Skalice is located in the vicinity of Jívová. The mountains of Stráž, Růžový Kopec and Slunečná are also located around Jívová.

Routes

A four-kilometre-long section of Údolí Bystřice that is attractive to tourists runs between the Jívová, Hrubá Voda and Smilov railway stops. The Tour de Wanzl route runs mostly on paved roads, includes significant elevation changes and is also suitable for trekking bikes.
