Bělkovice-Lašťany: Hotels and accommodations

Bělkovice-Lašťany can be explored through several clearly distinct themes: culture, leisure, cycling, and local traditions.

Culture

In Lašťany, the statue of Jan Žižka was renovated in 2017. By the pond stands the monument to Jan Žižka of Trocnov, which was ceremonially unveiled on June 29, 1924.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa on the road to Dolany dates from 1710 and was completely reconstructed in 2017. The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes dates from 1820. Above the entrance is a 30 cm tall porcelain figure of the Virgin Mary. The Chapel of St. Florian, dating from 1802, also stands by the pond; its roof features a small bell tower with a bell.

Tradition

The old tradition of the Ježíškovy matičky procession has been documented in Bělkovice-Lašťany since around 1848. It welcomed spring and celebrated the Resurrection of Christ. The tradition takes place separately in the Lašťany and Bělkovice districts. Since 2018, it has been included under the name “Velikonoční slavnosti Matiček a Ježíškových Matiček na Hané Olomoucký kraj” in the list of the intangible cultural heritage of the traditional folk culture of the Czech Republic.

Leisure

Koupaliště Bělkovice-Lašťany has a children’s pool measuring 19.5 m × 7.5 m, as well as a large swimming pool measuring 50 m × 20 m. It also offers two artificial-turf courts for small-sided football, football tennis, and tennis.

Behind the sports field is a fitness trail with nine exercise stations. A reservation system is available for small-sided football on the artificial-turf field in Bělkovice-Lašťany. DG Bělkovice can be played free of charge. The facility has six disc golf holes and is rated “easy” in difficulty.

Surroundings

In 2019, the dedicated road and cycle path from Bělkovice-Lašťany to Dolany were completed. The new cycle path to Dolany allows tourists to travel without coming into conflict with public transport. The nearby Bělkovické údolí is considered a recreational area with beautiful nature.

Local Area

Regional food and local confectionery products were offered at the autumn markets held on September 18, 2022, at the swimming pool in Lašťany.
