Chomoutov near Olomouc: Hotels and Accommodation

Chomoutov is located in the landscape of the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area. Chomoutovské jezero is a 121.28-hectare natural monument and defines the nature-oriented character of the village.
Nature and Observation
The “On the Wings of Birds” educational trail is 8.0 kilometers long, designated as a walking route, and easy. Its stations cover floodplain forests, the water regime of the floodplain landscape, birds around human settlements, Chomoutovské jezero, young wetlands, the underwater world, beavers, as well as the bird paradise and birdsong.
The ornithological observation point is located near the parking area on the road to Březce. It features a board with illustrations of the birds found at the site. Clear usage rules also apply to Chomoutovské jezero: swimming is prohibited throughout the lake; boats may not be used outside the regulated operations of the yacht club based there.
Hromová Cycle Path
A 1.7-kilometer section of the Hromová Cycle Path leads to Hromův dub and onward to Chomoutov. The cycle path provides cyclists, pedestrians, and families with strollers with a safe connection.
Freely accessible compressors for inflating bicycle tires and USB ports for charging mobile phones are available along the Hromová Cycle Path. There is also a paved pump track and fitness equipment.
Culture
The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary on Hrachoviska Street dates from the 19th century. Next to the chapel stands a statue of the Virgin Mary, erected in 1898 by the Coufal family from Chomoutov.
