Haňovice lies on the right edge of the Morava River floodplain below the summit of Rampach, which forms part of the Zábřežská vrchovina uplands. The combination of landscape, buildings and documented local history shapes the character of the village.
Landscape
The Bouzovská vrchovina uplands begin on the western side of Haňovice. The Rampach hill is located in the vicinity of Haňovice, as is the Třesín hill [Bílá Lhota-Měník]. The Dubový vrch hill [Loučka u Bílska] is located in the area around Haňovice.
Culture
Despite later alterations, Haňovice Chateau retains a Renaissance portal, heraldic panels and several vaulted spaces inside. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius is a free-standing, single-nave building with a polygonal presbytery. In front of the chapel stands a stone cross with a Calvary group.
