Senička: Hotels and accommodations

Senička lies below the eastern foothills of the Drahanská vrchovina highlands and on the edge of the region known as Haná. The Blata stream flows along the southern edge of the village.

Culture and history

The Senička-Záhumení archaeological site is a multi-period prehistoric site. The foundation stone of the Chapel of the Guardian Angels was laid on July 13, 1734. The chapel is a single-storey rectangular building with pilasters and is registered as a protected cultural monument.

The former water mill, dating from 1896, is the oldest preserved building in Senička. The penitential cross in a niche chapel in Senička is approximately 400 to 500 years old and is considered the oldest monument in the municipality; the penitential cross in Senička is registered as a protected cultural monument. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Senička dates from 1823.

Rajčur Natural Area

Rajčur is a revitalized recreational and leisure area in Senička. In a wooded setting, it has a pond and two wetlands intended to provide suitable conditions for preserving the local wildlife. Aquatic animals, including amphibians and waterfowl, inhabit the small ponds in Rajčur.

Educational Trail and Cycle Route

The Eliška z Kunštátu educational trail has nine information boards and can be started in Senička. In the center of Senička, it passes by the Chapel of the Guardian Angels. The marked Olomouc–Náměšť na Hané–Mladeč cycle route also passes through Senička.
