Jezernice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Jezernické Viaducts are a technical monument. Their present form dates from 1873; the viaducts are 10 metres high and have 42 arches.

Culture and History

The town’s historic buildings also include the Church of St. Martin, which dates from the 15th century. At house no. 158 stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk bearing the signature J. T. and dating from 1835.

Museum

The Jezernice Municipal Museum presents the exhibition “Co všechno odvál čas”. It documents life in the municipality, particularly during the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition includes a kitchen with a sideboard for storing food and crockery, a table with an old paraffin lamp, and a bench that once stood beneath the window. The exhibition is open irregularly during municipal events or by arrangement.

Nature and Landscape

Přední Familie is a particularly bird-rich and interesting floodplain landscape in Jezernice. The adjacent section of the Bečva near Přední Familie is a habitat of the critically endangered Kessler’s gudgeon.

The nearby and wider surroundings include several landscape features with different names: Nad Doly [Hranice-Slavíč] is a hill in the vicinity of Jezernice, while Růžový Kopec is a mountain in the surrounding area. Cycle Path

The second stage of the Jezernice–Slavíč cycle path was intended to continue outside the built-up area of Jezernice along road III/4377 through the open countryside and connect to an existing paved path at the viaduct.
