Norberčany lies in a predominantly forested and agricultural landscape in the foothills of the Nízký Jeseník. The Bystřice Valley Nature Park combines the protection of the landscape character with natural, aesthetic and scenic values, as well as recreational functions.

History and Culture

The origins of Norberčany are closely connected with the colonization of the Střelná forest by Hradisko Monastery in the 13th century. Norberčany was first mentioned in writing in 1456. In the document issued by Bishop Bohuslav ze Zvole, the place appears under the name Nirrenberg.

The Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary lies in the valley of the Libavský potok at the foot of Pekelný vrch in the Trhavice district of Norberčany. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in the southern part of the chapel's former cemetery. To the left of the chapel entrance there is also a metal plaque with porcelain medallions. They depict portraits of local residents who fell in the First World War.

The Czech-German Memorial stands in Norberčany on the site of a former church that no longer exists.
