Skřípov: Hotels and Accommodation

In Skřípov, several concrete examples of architectural history and landscape stand side by side. The Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Skřípov was built in 1780 and expanded in 1835 with a polygonal termination and two side chapels forming a transept. In 2006, the church was declared a cultural monument.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Our Lady, Queen of Heaven is a brick building with a rectangular floor plan and a three-sided termination. Its roof ridge features a four-sided bell tower with a pyramidal roof and a metal cross at the top. Franc Fischer had the chapel built using his own and donated funds and placed a marble sculpture of the Virgin Mary inside, which, according to the report, was modeled after Anna Fiedler. The Chapel of Our Lady, Queen of Heaven is the largest of the four chapels in Skřípov.

The local history also includes the Mohylník Skřípov archaeological site, with 16 identified burial mounds.
