Culture and History

In the center of Výšovice stands the château, which is a significant urban-planning element. It is an immovable cultural monument and is listed under registration number 5866 in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. The château was rebuilt into its present form in 1796; the reconstruction begun in 1999 also included the renovation of frescoes.

The Výšovice parish has been documented since 1345. It ceased to exist around 1630 and was re-established in 1760. Výšovice is also home to a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. The complex of the Church of Saint Lawrence was added to the list of Czech cultural monuments in May 1958.
