Zábřeh: Hotels and Accommodation
The Plavecký areál Zábřeh swimming centre has an indoor pool measuring 25 × 15 metres with six swimming lanes. Outdoors, there is a 50-metre swimming and recreation zone. The area also features a 60-metre water slide that ends in a children’s pool.
Culture and History
The Farní muzeum Zábřeh features a lapidarium, a collection of historic liturgical objects, a coin hoard containing 1,200 coins, and an exhibition on the history of the church and its bells. The Zábřeh Museum is located in Dům Pod Podloubím at the upper end of Masarykovo náměstí. Dům Pod Podloubím is listed in the Czech Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments.
The Church of sv. Bartoloměje was built on the site of Zábřeh’s original church according to plans by Domenico Martinelli in the second half of the 18th century. Visits to the church tower with its bells and to the exhibition of the Farní muzeum Zábřeh are possible by prior arrangement.
Educational Trail and Routes
The Welzlova naučná stezka educational trail begins at Zábřeh railway station. The Oborník pond is the trail’s third stop. The Ochutnej Moravu na kole route also begins and ends at the railway station, where ČD operates a bicycle rental service.
