Lozice: Hotels and Accommodation

Lozice stretches along both banks of the Novohradka stream. The village thus combines a clear connection to the water with paths, historic buildings, and vibrant local traditions.

Nature

Cycling route 4119 runs through Lozice between Lovětín and Pardubice. The 9 km circular route “S Divišem za výhledy” is suitable for trekking and cross-country cyclists as well as pedestrians. The route passes through Lozice, where hikers can visit the old stone bridge.

The Daňkova silácká stezka, also known as Silácká stezka or Daňkova stezka, runs through Lozice and has five stations with exercises for balance and the abdominal and arm muscles.

Culture

The three-arched stone bridge in Lozice was built in 1886 and is a protected cultural monument. It may have replaced an older ford across the Novohradka.

The Baroque entrance gate at House No. 16 in Lozice is a listed architectural and sculptural monument. The Protestant church is Lozice’s architectural landmark.

Local Life

Vrkání and Jidáš were revived in Lozice in 2026 as local Easter traditions, building on a long-standing custom that forms part of the cultural heritage. The Jidáš Easter procession is a local tradition and part of Lozice’s cultural heritage.

During Vrkání in 2026, the children walked through the entire municipality of Lozice at 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m., visiting every house; each round lasted about an hour. During the 2026 Jidáš procession, participants walked through Lozice; the straw costume was symbolically burned in front of the local inn.

The Municipality of Lozice and the volunteer fire brigade regularly organize the night game “Bludičkování” around All Souls’ Day.

Lozice has a modernized children’s playground with swings, a carousel, a play ship, a slide, climbing elements, and covered seating.
