Otradov: Hotels and Accommodation

Otradov is home to the filial Church of St. Bartholomew, which belongs to the Krouna parish. The church grounds include a church and a cemetery. The church was built in 1349, originally made of wood, and rebuilt after a fire. In a historical ecclesiastical record, Otradov was referred to as “Grunaw inferior”.

The cultural monuments in Otradov include Blažkův mlýn and a nearby barn. The historic Blažkův mlýn mill has been a protected cultural monument since 1958. It has almost completely preserved equipment, including surviving remains of the waterwheel and millrace. Traditional half-timbered farmsteads with characteristic elements of the local folk architecture have been preserved on the slope along the stream.

The red-marked hiking trail leads to Otradov and then follows the Krounka River for more than 10 km. Údolí Krounky (Šilinkův důl) is a moderately difficult hiking route. A cycling route is also marked in Otradov.

Otradov can be reached by bus or train via the Krouna stop, approximately 1 km away. The Otradov Volunteer Fire Brigade organizes firefighting sport competitions at the village’s multi-purpose sports grounds.
