Trojovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Tvrziště of Trojovice is classified as a significant archaeological site in category ÚAN I. Trojovice stretches along the left bank of the Ležák stream and lies in a flat, fertile landscape.

Culture and History

Trojovice was founded in the middle or towards the end of the 12th century. The Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Trojovice is a branch church of the Hrochův Týnec parish and stands on the site of a church already documented as a parish church in 1374. The present building has a single nave and features a flat-roofed nave and a flat-roofed chancel, a groin-vaulted sacristy, a groin-vaulted lower section of the tower, and a masonry gallery.

The remains of the round Tvrziště lie on the southern edge of the settlement and are partly used as a simple playing field. In the upper part of the village stand a stone cross dating from 1867 and a monument to the fallen inhabitants of the village. Agriculture has long been an important livelihood in Trojovice.

Landscape and Cycling

The gently hilly landscape around Trojovice and the municipalities crossed by Class III roads invite visitors to enjoy uncomplicated bike rides. More demanding cyclists can use Chrast or Horka, about 5 km south of Trojovice, as starting points for continuing into the Železné hory.

In the Village

The library in Trojovice currently has more than 2,200 volumes. Bus connections from Trojovice to Chrast, Chrudim and Pardubice have improved.

On Sundays in odd-numbered weeks at 11 a.m., a service was scheduled at the branch church of the Holy Archangel Michael. Pálení čarodějnic is one of the traditional community events in Trojovice and took place on 30 April 2025.
