Hrobice: Hotels and accommodation

The Tůň u Hrobic natural monument covers 2.8809 ha, was first designated on 12 May 1982, and protects an oxbow of the Elbe with riparian vegetation as well as significant plant and animal communities. Baroch lies south of Hrobice. The area is important for ornithology and comprises wetland habitats, reed beds, endangered amphibians, and a free-ranging population of wild horses.

Nature and landscape

The Baroch protected area preserves a pond that is now heavily silted up, surrounding meadow and forest communities, extensive reed beds, and marsh meadows with numerous endangered and critically endangered plant and animal species.

The hills of Kunětická hora, (Kopaninské) [Staré Hradiště], and (Na Podbahní) [Pardubice-Ohrazenice] lie in the immediate vicinity of Hrobice. The Skupice hill [Osice] is also located in the vicinity of Hrobice.

Walking and cycling routes

A yellow-marked route runs along the western edge of Hrobice from Stéblová around the Baroch Nature Reserve and through the Kunětický Forest below Kunětická hora.

Cycle Route 4124 runs from Pardubice to Opatovice through Hrobice. Cycle Route 4126 connects Hrobice with Hrobický dvůr and Bažantnice.

Culture and events

The traditional Pohádkové putování takes place on Saturday, 5 September 2026, from 2 p.m. at the municipal sports field in Hrobice and is aimed at children and adults.

The Svatý Jiří Church is located in the vicinity of Hrobice. The Lovecký zámeček building is now home to Perníková chaloupka and the Muzeum perníku.
