Culture and History

The Pernštýnská Waterworks is registered in Srch as an immovable cultural monument under Czech registration number 51001/6-6193. The Pernštýnská Waterworks is an underground water facility dating from 1515, built under William II of Pernstein, which served as a water reservoir supplying the fountain in Pardubice’s town square and Pardubice Castle.

Panchártkova’s pear tree was declared a memorial tree on April 7, 2004.

Nature

The Baroch Nature Reserve covers areas in the cadastral territories of Srch and Hrobice. The Baroch Nature Reserve is located nearby, an important ornithological area with grazing grounds for wild horses and buffalo.

Rybník Olšina (Vraťák) is a popular habitat for several amphibian species, particularly the European water frog and the fire-bellied toad.

Educational Trail

The Srch Educational Trail is an entertaining trail that provides information about life in the forest. It has ten stations with information boards and interactive elements and begins behind the football pitch in Srch.

Events

The traditional fishing competition “O stříbrný háček” organized by the municipality of Srch took place for the 19th time at Vraťák in Srch on June 14, 2025. On April 26, 2026, a traditional fishing course for children with disabilities took place at Vraťák pond in Srch. Fishing at Rybník Olšina (Vraťák) is only possible with a special permit.

At the traditional “Příjezd Martina na bílém koni” event in Srch on November 8, 2025, there was a lantern procession as well as songs and poems performed by children. The traditional “Strašidelná stezka” in Srch on November 15, 2025, featured a mysterious labyrinth for younger children and a forest route for older children and adults.
