Trnavka: Hotels and Accommodation

Settlement of the area around Trnávka began in the 10th century. The oldest surviving written mention of the village dates from 1333. Trnávka was originally called Tyrnov; the current name became established from the second half of the 16th century onward.

History and Church Architecture

The Protestant church in Trnávka was opened on 22 May 1884 and continues to serve its religious purpose to this day. The present building replaced a stone Toleration church dating from 1797. Behind the church lies the Protestant cemetery, which was established in 1789 and expanded in 1854.
