Nature and Landscape

Lodrant is a pond and a nature monument of the same name, located within the cadastral territories of the municipalities of Litětiny, Trusnov, and Uhersko in the Pardubice Region. At the same time, Lodrant is an important breeding site for waterfowl.

The Stráň u Trusnova protected area consists of an east-facing marl slope with remnants of the formerly abundant population of fringed gentian, as well as other thermophilic and calciphilous plant species. Stráň u Trusnova is designated as a nature monument; the nature monument protects a habitat of endangered plant species.

South of Trusnov, the Loučná flows through Opočno, a locality belonging to the municipality of Trusnov.

Routes and Geographical Context

The green-marked Route 4239 runs along a forest path over the Lodrant dam and leads from Uhersko to Kostelec nad Orlicí. The marked cycling routes in Trusnov include Route 4237.

The Prague–Česká Třebová railway line runs through the cadastral territory of the municipality of Trusnov.

Culture and History

The Staročeské muzeum in Trusnov provides insights into historical rural life and displays two fully furnished rooms. The chapel in Trusnov is a monument of local significance.

Amateur theatre in Trusnov, which had ended after the war, resumed in 2009. The play “Dařbuján a Pandrhola” was performed sixteen times in Trusnov in spring 2023 and seen by more than 2,000 visitors.
