Libecina: Hotels and Accommodation

Libecina can be classified as a village with a village green and a radial settlement pattern. The shape of the village green has been deformed by the terrain, with its eastern side being almost semicircular. The older part around the village green is characterised by large farmsteads on favourably situated plots. The restored neo-Romanesque chapel from 1883 stands on the village green. The first surviving written records of Libecina date from 1461.

At the crossroads at the entrance to Libecina, where the main road leads towards Vysoké Mýto, there is a restored memorial to the victims of the First World War, standing in the shade of mature lime trees. Memorial ceremonies honouring the fallen are regularly held at this memorial.

To the west of Libecina lies the Střemošická stráň Natura 2000 site, covering an area of 46.4197 hectares. The site comprises semi-natural dry grasslands and scrub formations on calcareous soil, extensively mown lowland meadows extending into the foothills, and a population of lady's slipper orchids. To the west of Libecina, Střemošická stráň is considered one of the most important botanical and entomological sites in Bohemia. The landscape around Libecina is used intensively for agriculture.

Signposted cycling route 4227 runs through the hilly landscape of Libecina. It is of moderate difficulty.
